Athearn has announced their new Genesis locomotives with a due date of July 2024. This would be just another ordinary anouncement except with this one, along with their Union Pacific re-release of the slab side turbine they have included three Alternative History turbines. Check these out below.
Even though this author lives in Utah he runs almost exclusively eastern roads. He does have a couple of western locomotives including both a Union Pacific Slab Side and Veranda turbine. This is a great idea for Athearn to try and the Chesapeake & Ohio Turbine is very tempting.
